GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR B. PHARM

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR B. PHARM

Sanctioned Intake Capacity

  • 60 seats available for the First Year B. Pharmacy starting from the academic year 2023-2024.
  • 10% of the total sanctioned intake is reserved for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy.

Admission Procedure for First Year B. Pharmacy

  • 60 seats available for the First Year B. Pharmacy starting from the academic year 2023-2024.
  • 10% of the total sanctioned intake is reserved for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy.
    Admission Procedure for First Year B. Pharmacy:
  • Out of the total 60 admissions, approximately 80% are conducted through the Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, and Mumbai, based on MHT-CET/NEET scores.
  • The MHT-CET test is administered by the Government of Maharashtra, Admission Regulatory
    Commission, and State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, through their website
    www.cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • The remaining 20% admissions are managed by the Institute at the institute level, also based on MHT-CET/NEET scores.
  • Any vacant CAP seat is filled by candidates from the same category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. If seats remain vacant, they are filled based on the Inter-Se-Merit of the applicants.

Admission Procedure for Direct Second Year B. Pharmacy:

  • Admissions are carried out through the Centralized Admission Procedure by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai, based on Diploma scores.
  • The centralized admissions are managed via the website cetcell.mahacet.org.
  • If seats remain vacant after the Centralized Admission Procedure, the Institute handles these admissions at the institute level.

*ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA*

For First Year Bachelor of Pharmacy

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates

  • The candidate must be an Indian National.
  • They should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as
    compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and secured at least 45% marks
    (40% for candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with
    Disability from Maharashtra State) in these subjects combined.
  • Candidates must have appeared in all subjects and obtained a non-zero score in the CET
    conducted by the Competent Authority.

All India Candidature Candidates

  • The candidate must be an Indian National.
  • They should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and secured at least 45% marks (40% for candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with
  • Disability from Maharashtra State) in these subjects combined.
  • Candidates should obtain a non-zero positive score in NEET or have appeared in all subjects in CETand obtained a non-zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. Preference is given to candidates with a non-zero positive score in NEET.

NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates

  • Candidates must have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as
    compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 45% marks in
    these subjects combined.
  • Additional criteria may be defined by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

For Direct Second Year (Lateral Entry) Admission

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates

  • The candidate must be an Indian National.
  • They should have passed a Diploma Course in Pharmacy with at least 45% marks (40% for
    candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability
    belonging to Maharashtra State) from an institution approved by All India Council for Technical
    Education or Pharmacy Council of India, or Central or State Government.
  • Any other criteria may be declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined
    under the Act
